LIVINGWALLS™

The Living Wall systems provide the underlying structure needed to permanently stabilize extreme grade changes while offering higher aesthetic appeal than conventional block or concrete systems. The combined use of  the Soxx, filled with seeded compost and of the galvanized wire, allows the realization of green walls with appropriate technical and structural performances. The filled Soxx provides a high aesthetic value avoiding those unpleasant strips of gravel used to defense the landslides. Furthermore the use of the LivingWall system provides superior soil retention and erosion protection while creating an optimum environment for vegetation establishment.

The system’s galvanized wire facing elements allow for mechanical connection and reinforcement while providing the structure for the compost Soxx in which the root systems of the plants can  grow inside, then  to overcome the mesh, to penetrate into the soil and also to bind the Soxx each others. The result is a continuous ‘green coverage’ and a  strong and natural anchorage between the various elements. Therefore the whole "living"  structure can grow up and starts its reconstruction process forming a unique ‘green’ wall. Finally the Living Wall, besides the anti-erosive action, provides a more long-term and active stability in time of this system compared to other techniques.
